I feel so dumb for asking this.... [03 Mar 2005|08:58am]

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about getting into a concert if you're on the Guest List.... I'm going to see New Found Glory on the 11th and I'm on the guest list to get in...do I go up to the box office at the venue? or just hop in line and tell the person at the door I'm on the guest list?
The concert is at the House Of Blues and I checked their website, but it didnt say anything about what to do....
I hope someone knows....
Thanks in advance!

Subject: update!!!

Hello all,

So here’s the latest and the greatest from your favorite Rock and Roll
Extravaganza, Firescape. The EP- “Rearden’s Conscience” is now
available to order through our web store. We are releasing it a little
early so that it is available on our next tour with Straylight Run and
Hidden in Plain View, so look for it to hit stores sometime in April.

Are you internet savvy? Well, then, maybe you should join the Random
Play Music Internet Marketing Team. Right now, we are looking for 20
people to help us promote the EP online using such avenues as Myspace,
Purevolume, and other music related sites. This is not a street-team,
it will be limited to 20 people and we will be working hands on with
you while we all try to get the word out. If you are interested, email
our greatest friend Erica at : Erica.dermer@asu.edu with the subject
Internet Marketing Team.

On the Road Again- We are going back out on the road. That’s right, we
hate being at home because that means that we can’t eat gas station hot
dogs and we have to shower regularly. So take a look at our busy Spring
schedule below. And in true Firescape fashion, we will be accepting
floors and couches to crash on while out on the road. We hate hotels,
we love your futon. So check out the dates and let us know if you have
a couch for us to crash on, we will promise not to break anything and
Andy is now completely potty-trained.

Awesome Guys… We want to thank all of you for supporting our band, we
can’t do this without you. You all rule…. You all rule like Caesar
ruled… cool right… yeah…

Thanks- Andy, Josh, Hunter, and Jake.

1 Shout it out loud - Let it flow

[11 Jan 2005|10:58pm]

Taken from Green Day's MySpace Bulletin Posts:

-- If you are an employee, take Thursday, January 20 off. Take a vacation day, a personal day, call in sick. I don't care. Just don't work. (Emergency workers excluded).

-- If you own a business, (and I realize this is a very big request), close down your business on January 20. Put a message on your voicemail letting anyone who calls know why you are closed. Put a sign in your window. Just do it!

-- If you have a website, take it down, and put up a page that says your business is closed because you are mourning the death of your country, the end of democracy and the US as we have known it, the stolen election and the illegal inauguration of bush!

-- If you have friends outside the US, tell them not to buy an american product, an american stock, conduct business with an american firm, nothing!

-- AND NO ONE HERE BUYS A THING! Not a bottle of water, a pay-per-view movie, a candy bar, a gallon of gas, a pack of cigarettes, nothing. Get organized and do it the day before.

While you are sitting home, pick up the phone and call the media and tell them what you are doing. (This is the ONLY thing you are allowed to spend money on.) Call your senators and representatives if you think it will do any good.

They wouldn't listen to us when we called and emailed and filed lawsuits. They thought that they were going to steal our country and our freedom, send us to war, put the profits in their pockets and then rub our faces in it by inaugurating bush? I say NO WAY!

On Inauguration Day Protest!

Our religious leaders will not speak out against the war in Iraq. Our political leaders don't have the moral courage to oppose it. And our "free" press has been so bought out by mega corporations they could not even find the wherewithal to investigate a stolen presidential election.

And now, on January 20th we are being asked to accept the man who brought us this new world order as our leader?

Inauguration Day, Thursday, January 20th, 2005 is the day we SHUT DOWN THE U.S. ECONOMY for 24 Hours.

That's right. The War Machine, The Military Industrial Complex,Political Lobbyists, Corporate control of the media. It's all about money. This time, we hit them where it hurts.

Not one damn dime for gasoline. Not one damn dime for necessities or for impulse purchases. Not one damn dime for anything for 24 hours.

Boycott Walmart, KMart and Target. Don't go to the mall or the local convenience store. Don't buy any fast food (or any groceries at all for that matter). For 24 hours, please do what you can to shut the retail economy down.

Not one dime on pay per view, stamps, don't put mail in your mailbox, nothing.

The object is simple. Don't spend, Don't work, Don't participate in the economy.

Send A Unified Message To Washington

The People of the United States CAN and WILL come together in a time of crisis. We will take steps as necessary to secure our country.
Let Mr. Bush consider THAT as he takes his OATH of OFFICE.

There's no rally to attend. No marching to do. No left or right wing agenda to rant about. On "Not One Damn Dime Day" you take action by doing nothing.

You open your mouth by keeping your wallet closed.
For 24 hours, nothing gets spent, not one damn dime, no one works except emergency workers.

Counter-Inauguration Update
Body: Show Dubya that he does not have a supreme mandate and that there are millions of us that do not agree with his policies of militarization and occupation. We did not like his tactics of fear and hate in the election and we are not letting up in the fight to bring our troops home from Iraq. What makes America strong is that our Constitution allows us to publicly assemble and actively voice our dissent! We encourage you to exercise your rights to a peacefully protest!

Hundreds of anti-Bush Administration events are being planned around the country - Help out on one of these events or DIY and plan your own counter-inaugural event!

Dec 17

If you've listened to GREEN DAY's American Idiot album closely, you've probably thought that the story behind it might make a good movie. Well, the guys in the band think that, at least, and they're already working toward making a film version. At this point, they're speaking to several writers about ideas.
